A Brief Discussion of QR Codes & How They Can & Will Affect Your Business

QR stands for quick response. You’ve probably seen these square 2-dimensional bar codes, but unless you are in public relations you may not have understood them. For a detailed definition and history, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code.
Already popular in Japan and Europe, QR codes can help market your company, product(s) and/or events. Simply navigate to one of a number of free (FREE!) websites to create a QR code with your message, save it and use it in your marketing. For example, include a QR code with your website on vehicles and/or in your print advertising. Or use QR codes to communicate a sale on a product. Use a code to advertise an open-house…
Prospective customers read the code by scanning it with a smart phone. For example, if you have your website imbedded in a code on a vehicle (or on your tradeshow banner) and it is scanned by an interested party, they are taken to your website.
This isn’t ‘coming’, it’s already here. And it’s going to get much bigger. You might want to get ahead of the curve and start using it now.
Oh, and I suggest including it in the design of signage and yep, we can help!
If you have any experiences with QR codes that you would like to relate, please feel free to use this forum.

As you know, a website is never truly finished until it is taken down for good. So this site is a work in progress; please check back now and again to see how it progresses. At a minimum, ther will be additions to this section about once a week.
If you have comments/criticisms, please let us know. We welcome your input.
